i can't believe this week...

this week has been insane with orders... which is good... but also very stressful when one is trying to move...

today i had to go to the funeral of a dear friend... she was 34... a month to the day younger than me... and she had fought a battle with a very aggressive type of breast cancer for 2 years... the funeral was so sad and yet so uplifting at the same time... because of Mandy's faith... and her courage... i miss her already... i keep thinking about her hands... i'm not sure why... but i will always remember her hands... i don't remember a day that her nails weren't perfectly manicured... even when we were kids... she had perfect skin too... creamy and envy worthy... but most of all... i'll remember her smile... it was big and bright and lit up the whole room... so... here's to you Mandy!... i hope you're eating pancakes with your grandma right now...

tomorrow ... or rather this morning actually... we go to little rock to pick up a sofa... my best friend Kricia is giving us her old one... she loves this couch... it was the first big purchase in her marriage... but they needed a bigger one... so she's giving me the old one... it's beautiful and SOOOO comfy... i couldn't ask for a better friend that Kricia... she will never read this... so i can brag on her without her feeling weird... she is honestly one of the kindest most generous people i have ever met... and i KNOW God is going to reward her greatly for the heart that she has... i am so lucky to have her in my life... for the last 25 years...

i'm up at 5 am because the air was so dry again that my nose started bleeding... so i'm boiling water and waiting to go back to bed...
